Sort of back, but not back

I've missed you all. I really have. And I'm just going to say a quick thank you to those that checked in on me and sent all the love. I've been alive, for the most part.

From now, I will be sharing a lot more stuff with subscribers and blogging a lot less here. In the newsletter, I will be talking about new things I'm learning as a Christian and a young woman trying to navigate through her 20s. I promise to do lots of real talk and share the hard things Sunday mornings every week. I would also like to interact with you more deeply than a blog will allow so subscribe to the newsletter here

What have you been up to? Tell me about it!

Maybe it's me...

When concerned parties like my sweet friend, Rob, ask what is going on with me I usually tell them I'm going through a quarter life crisis. Of course I get the puzzled look considering the fact that I'm just a few weeks away from my 22nd birthday. The conversation usually ends in a joke I pull out my arsenal and everyone forgets I even mentioned it.

I think there have been many emotions I have been packing and unpacking for as long as I can remember. But these past few months have been very, err, for lack of a better word constipating for me emotionally and mentally. I can only run for so long. I’m barely 22 and I'm weary; my soul is tired.

3 steps to smoother skin

I had my first pimple when  I was 7.
At the time I was overjoyed because I was becoming a grownup (also I couldn't wait to wear a bra. In hindsight, I'd take flat-chested me over full-breasted me. I digress). Little did I know that that one big pimple between my eyes was the beginning of self esteem issues through secondary school. Looking back, my acne would not have been as bad as it was if I actually took care of my skin.

I'm glad to say that the worst years are over and I only have to deal with one of two pimples here and there once in a very blue moon.

From trial and error, I've developed what I like to think is a simple skin care regimen to keep the breakouts at bay.
